A Septarian nodule (also known as a septarian concretion or "Dragon Stone") is a unique sedimentary rock formation characterized by an exterior limestone shell and a cracked, hollow interior filled with distinct mineral crystals.They are often referred to as "prehistoric mudballs" because of how they look and form. When cut in half or polished, they reveal a striking, web-like pattern that resembles a turtle shell or dragon scales.
